I am sure that most of you have heard the joke about: The only person
who enjoys change is a baby with a dirty diaper.
For those not at last week's voters meeting in Lone Wolf, change is
upon us. The voters made the decision to change the time that we begin our
worship service to 9:00am beginning February 26. Sunday School and Adult
Bible class will be at 10:15am.
The main reason for the change was for the church in Altus. They will
now have worship at 10:30am. Sunday School and Adult Bible Class will
start at 9:15am.
You may be asking why the change? We have asked a lot of people in the
Altus community why they only attend the church once or only occasionally.
The number one reason given was that the service is just too early. We
believe that these new time changes will offer the opportunity for the
church to grow.
As we go through the next two weeks in transition, we ask that you tell
everyone about our new time changes.
Note: Christ Elk City has not made a change in their Sunday
morning schedule. Their Sunday School and Bible class begin at 9:30am with
worship at 11:00am.
