A Oklahoma District release
edited by Pastor Ronald Boelte
The Synod is offering in each District, conferences and/or forums to
take place each year for the next three years to discuss important
theological issues among its church leaders throughout the Lutheran Church
- Missouri Synod. The purpose of these conferences is to maintain unity of
the Spirit in the bond of peace, strengthen our agreement of doctrine, and
foster a faithful and responsible application of this doctrine— all for
the sake of the church's mission to proclaim boldly and faithfully the
saving truth of the Gospel of Christ to the world.
With this in mind we are informing you of the OK District Theological
Conference: "Serving Jesus Together-Who's in Charge Here?"
It will be held Saturday, December 10 from 8:30am to 12:30pm at St John
Lutheran Church gymnasium in Moore OK. The church is located at 1032 N.W.
12th St in Moore.
They want at least three Delegates from each church: the Pastor,
Chairman of the Congregation/Head Elder, and one other lay delegate. They
also want all other professional church workers to attend. We need to fill
out the papers on the participants this week.
Pastor Ron will be meeting with the Altus and Lone Wolf church leaders
after Church and BJ will be meeting with the Elk City leaders. I hope we
can send all of our delegates to this important conference. Thank You.
