Why Live a Holy Life?
by BJ Armstrong

I have often heard the question: "If Jesus died for everyone’s sin, then why is it important to live a holy life?" The common thought of many people today is that a sinful life is more fun than that of the modern Christian life; and, if Jesus died for all of our sins anyway, why not enjoy the spoils of life?

For whatever reason, people have the misconception that you can’t have any fun if you are in pursuit of this holy life; which leads me to think that many of the people caught up in the fun of sin don’t really understand what it is to live a holy life. To live a holy life is not as complex as many think. It is not boring either.

How do we live a holy life? Simple. In the words of a popular Christian song by the artist 4him, the answer to living a holy life is to "get back to the basics of life." What are the basics of life? For the answer to that you will have to read through your meditations this week, which you can find on the website.

As you read through them, many of the questions that have been asked above will be answered; and I think you will see, that living a Holy, Christian life is no less rewarding or less fun, rather, very fulfilling and the only way to experience the true joy of living in this world.
