Monday

Read: 1 Thessalonians 1:1-6

Meditation: As we look at these verse and others in the Bible we may have a question that goes like this: is the message of the gospel, you must endure to the end in order to be saved; or is the message of the gospel, you shall endure to the end because you are saved. The answer two both of these questions is yes! For salvation is both the reward of endurance, and the free gift of grace. We endure in order to inherit the blessings of heaven and because we are sure that the blessing of heaven are ours.

Prayer Starter: Lord help me to endure to the end and I give you thanks for giving me the hope that will help me to endure to the end.

Tuesday

Read: Ezekiel 36:24-27

Meditation: We learn from these verses that the people of God Shall endure in the path of obedience. "I Shall put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me!" I Shall put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes." Endurance is a promised gift of the new covenant. It is one of the great Shalls of God's grace!

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for the strength and how You sustain me in Your hope.

Wednesday

Read: Philippians 1:3-6

Meditation: God will do it for us. God shall keep us faithful in the Lord and the ministry we have been given until the end. He will give us the endurance we need to continue.

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for empowering me with Your endurance. Continue this until my mission on this world is over.

Thursday

Read: 1 Corinthians 1:4-9

Meditation: If it is God who calls you into the fellowship of his Son, God will give you the endurance to see it through to the end. These verses and others from 1 Thessalonians 5:24 and Romans 8:30 support that God will be there and give us the endurance we need.

Prayer Starter: Lord, I know that the path from justification to glorification is a path of obedience, and yet Your promise is to give us what we need to endure.

Friday

Read: Hebrews 13:20-21

Meditation: This is a blood-bought blessing of the new covenant. It is the commitment of God never to turn away from doing us good and to work in us what is pleasing in His sight and this causes us to endure in obedience to the end. Endurance is a gift and guarantee of the new covenant sealed by the blood of Jesus, and it is for all who trust in Him.

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You for giving me such a precious gift of endurance and thank You that Jesus was willing to shed His blood to give it to me.

Saturday

Read: Hebrews 10:35-39

Meditation:
You need to endure so that you can do the will of God so that you can obtain what is promised to us by God. The inheritance is only given to those who endure in obedience to do the will of God. In may ways these passages point to two different scriptures because they have two different purposes, but in another way they are perfectly one.

Prayer Starter: Lord, help me to let go of the worldly hope and trust only in You for the forgiveness of sins, which gives me the power to endure and the hope of everlasting life.
