Monday

Read: John 1:29-51

Meditation: We see in scriptures that Andrew is the one that makes it possible for many people to see Jesus. He seems to be a humble man who had a passion to bring the knowledge of Jesus to others. He was a servant who had a heart for the outcast. Andrew was willing to do whatever it took to bring others to meet Jesus. There are many people like Andrew in this world, and they continue to tell others of Jesus as their Messiah.

Prayer Starter: Lord, show me this day where I can be an Andrew for someone in my life. Give me the opportunity so that I can introduce them to You, my Lord and best friend.

Tuesday

Read: 1 Corinthians 2:1-5

Meditation: We may stumble over the words when we try to be a witness. That's what Paul is trying to share with us in this reading. It is not easy, but with God's power we can tell it and tell it boldly. Bold in the confidence that the Spirit will give you the words to say and then will work with those words long after you have finished. Just go and tell it.

Prayer Starter: O Lord, help me to be bold in my witness for You. Bold in stepping forward to give testimony to my love for You. Bold in my conviction that You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

Wednesday

Read: Deuteronomy 6  11:18-22

Meditation: We are to tell our children about God, and yet as we look at our world today, fewer and fewer parents are not preparing their children for life. Most do not see the need, or expect others to do it. Their children are then often lacking in these five areas of life that they need to function: emotional, physical, intellectual, moral and spiritual. Parents have passed off these responsibilities and we are the ones who must tell the children about Jesus.

Prayer Starter: Lord, help me daily to pass on the faith to those who will follow after me, our children.

Thursday

Read: Mark 16:1-8

Meditation: The message of the empty tomb is about a Lord who is able to meet the needs of people no matter where they may be in their life at this moment. Are they in prison, are they sick, addicted, in debt, lonely, etc? Jesus can meet those needs and our mission is to go and tell what we have learned in our walk with Jesus. Jesus is alive and wants to see you and all others who may be suffering.

Prayer Starter: Lord, You satisfy every thirst, hunger, and pain within my being. Your love and compassion toward me is beyond my understanding. Help me to share this with others.

Friday

Read: 1 John 3:11-24

Meditation: Forgiving oneself is not easy. Often we have three different reasons why we may not feel forgiven. First, we may feel I must do something in order to deserve His mercy. Second, we may not know the difference between guilt and shame. And third, we may have a hesitancy not to turn around and never do again the sin we may be trapped in. Judgment belongs to God and in Christ, God has declared you and me not guilty, not because of what we have done or not done, but because of Christ. Often before we can tell someone else about God's love through Christ we have to see God's forgiveness for ourselves.

Prayer Starter: I am justified and reconciled and welcomed into Your presence, O Lord. It is not because of what I have done, but because Jesus has taken upon Himself my guilt and shame. Help me to share this grace and love with all who need to be drawn closer to You and Your love.

Saturday

Read: Luke 19:28-44

Meditation:
Rocks have played an important part in scripture, and if they could talk what would they say about God and the people of God. In this story we see Jesus saying that if the people do not speak out then the rocks will. What do you think the rocks would say of Jesus that first Palm Sunday?
How do we feel for those that we see that may be lost? Is it sorrow or indifference? Jesus wants us to tell and make a difference in the lives of those in our communities. Go and tell.

Prayer Starter: O Lord, open my lips so I can declare to You my praise. May I this day be a living stone that crys out about You to my world.
