The Need for Bold Action
(c)2004 by International LLL
Introduction
God acts boldly! This Advent we turn our hearts and minds toward God's
bold action of sending His Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as
Savior. Adam and Eve boldly stepped out of God's will and sin became a
reality. We would have been separated from God forever had He not boldly
stepped forward to reconcile us to Himself.
It is God's action, not ours, that draws our focus during these
heart-preparation and light-reflection days of Advent through Epiphany:
- Week One (November 28 through December 4)
highlights The Need for Bold Action as our focus is drawn to
our own sinfulness.
- Week Two (December 5 through 11) highlights God's Historical
Boldness as our eyes are turned toward God's Old Testament
dealings with sin.
- Week Three (December 12 through 18) highlights how God Prepares
for Bold Action with an emphasis on the prophecies of the Savior.
- Week Four (December 19 through 25) highlights God's Bold Action
with a closer look at God's love come down to us through the birth of
our Savior.
- Week Five (December 26 through January 1) highlights Responding
to God's Bold Action as attention is given to the nature of our
life in Christ.
- Week Six (January 2 through 6) highlights the importance of Making
God's Actions Known 'with great boldness' through witness and
outreach.
Let us go forth in boldness ... so the whole world might know of His
bold love for us!
